Best Practices

Use default settings initially. Adjust based on what’s too much or too little.
For busy channels, switch to mentions-only to reduce noise.
Protect your off-work time with quiet hours. You can still check manually if needed.
Daily or weekly email digests catch you up without real-time interruption.
Some channels are informational but not urgent. Mute them to reduce distractions.

Troubleshooting

  • Check notification settings in Trilo
  • Verify browser permissions
  • Check device notification settings
  • Ensure you’re not in quiet hours
  • Check if the channel is muted
  • Switch to “mentions only” for busy channels
  • Mute channels you don’t need updates from
  • Enable quiet hours
  • Unfollow threads you’re not involved in
  • Allow notifications in browser settings
  • Check system notification preferences
  • Ensure browser is running
  • Try a different browser
