This guide covers everything about managing your Trilo subscription, billing, and credits system.

Accessing Billing

Go to Settings

Click Settings in the sidebar.

Select Billing

Navigate to the Billing section.
Only workspace owners can access billing settings.

Subscription Plans

Available Plans

Trilo offers different plans to fit your team’s needs:

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Current Plan

In Billing settings, you’ll see:
  • Your current plan name
  • Billing cycle (monthly/yearly)
  • Next billing date
  • Current usage vs. limits

Upgrading Your Plan

Click Upgrade

Find the upgrade button in Billing.

Choose new plan

Select the plan you want.

Select billing cycle

Monthly or yearly (yearly often has discounts).

Enter payment info

Add or confirm payment method.

Confirm

Complete the upgrade.
Upgrades take effect immediately.

Downgrading Your Plan

Click Change Plan

Find plan options in Billing.

Select lower plan

Choose the plan to downgrade to.

Review impacts

See what features you’ll lose.

Confirm

Downgrade takes effect at end of billing period.
Downgrading may result in losing access to features and hitting limits. Review impacts before confirming.

Canceling Subscription

To cancel your paid subscription:
  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Cancel subscription
  3. Provide feedback (optional)
  4. Confirm cancellation
After canceling:
  • Access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Workspace reverts to Free plan
  • Data is preserved (within Free plan limits)

Payment Methods

Adding a Payment Method

Go to Payment Methods

Find this in Billing settings.

Click Add

Add a new payment method.

Enter details

Add credit card or other payment info.

Save

The method is available for billing.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Debit cards
  • Other methods may vary by region

Updating Payment Method

Go to Payment Methods

In Billing settings.

Edit or add new

Update existing or add new method.

Set as default

Choose which method to use for billing.

Removing Payment Method

  1. Find the payment method
  2. Click Remove
  3. Confirm removal
You can’t remove the last payment method while on a paid plan.

Credits System

What Are Credits?

Credits power AI features in Trilo:
  • AI coworker conversations
  • Image generation
  • Advanced AI capabilities

Viewing Credit Balance

In Billing, see:
  • Current credit balance
  • Usage this month
  • Included credits with your plan
  • Additional credits purchased

Purchasing Credits

If you need more credits:

Go to Credits

Find Credits section in Billing.

Choose amount

Select credit package to purchase.

Complete purchase

Credits are added immediately.

Auto Top-Up

Automatically purchase credits when balance is low:

Enable Auto Top-Up

Toggle on in Credits settings.

Set threshold

When to trigger purchase (e.g., below 100 credits).

Set amount

How many credits to purchase each time.

Invoices and Receipts

Viewing Invoices

Find past invoices:
  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Invoices
  2. See list of all invoices
  3. Click any invoice to view/download

Invoice Contents

Each invoice includes:
  • Date and invoice number
  • Plan charges
  • Credit purchases
  • Tax information
  • Payment method used

Downloading Receipts

  • Click Download on any invoice
  • PDF format for your records
  • Contains all billing details

Billing Information

Company Details

For invoices, provide:
  • Company name
  • Billing address
  • Tax ID (if applicable)

Updating Billing Info

  1. Go to Billing Information
  2. Edit company details
  3. Save changes
  4. Future invoices use new info

Usage & Limits

Viewing Usage

See your current consumption:

Approaching Limits

When nearing limits:
  • You’ll receive notifications
  • Dashboard shows warnings
  • Consider upgrading before hitting limits

Exceeding Limits

What happens when you exceed limits:
  • Some features may be limited
  • Upgrade prompts appear
  • Grace periods may apply

Best Practices

Yearly billing usually saves 15-20% compared to monthly.
Keep an eye on AI credit consumption to avoid running out.
If you rely on AI features, auto top-up prevents interruption.
Ensure your payment method is current to avoid billing issues.
Check invoices periodically to understand your spending.

Troubleshooting

  • Check payment method is valid
  • Ensure sufficient funds
  • Try a different payment method
  • Contact your bank if issues persist
  • Only workspace owners can access billing
  • Contact the workspace owner
  • Check you’re in the correct workspace
  • Check spam folder for email receipts
  • View all invoices in Billing settings
  • Contact support if invoice is needed
  • Review invoice details
  • Check for usage-based charges
  • Contact support for billing questions
